One day in April 2013, I came up with the crackpot idea that I wanted to condition myself and my horse to go from loafing around in the arena and toodling around in the fields to finishing the Old Dominion 100-Mile Endurance Race. This blog is about our journey.
Gemma loves to sit on Nimo's back while I graze him. That is actually something I used to do all the time, especially with my first horse. There is truly something healing and wonderful about being able to connect that way with a horse. And Nimo, for all of his not-beginner-friendly idiosyncrasies, is perfectly happy to have a little one lounge on him:)
From warmer days in September
There is nothing better than being snuggled in Mama's jacket on the back of a big beast:)
